Reports

The New Mexico Poison and Drug Information Center is always working to improve the availability of poison - related data in an effort to reduce injury associated with poisonings. Our computerized data collection system has been developed to collect and maintain information on all cases managed by the Center in real time. All information in our outgoing reports contain aggregate data and do not specifically identify patient information.

Collected data is used both locally and nationally to:

  • Target poison prevention efforts
  • Improve poisoning treatments
  • Identify poisoning trends
  • Spot poisoning epidemics as they develop
  • Re-formulate and repackage products to make them safer
