Our faculty offers a rigorous program for interested students around the globe. Our student program consists of clerkships that include rotations in drug and poison information, courses, and work-study positions when available. Our toxicologists also hold faculty positions at the UNM College of Pharmacy and the School of Medicine.

Since many of the UNM emergency medicine residents elect to practice in New Mexico hospitals, the NMPDIC clerkship serves as an important mechanism for establishing strong relationships with emergency physicians throughout the state.
This is a four-week clerkship for fourth-year pharmacy students. This clerkship offers students an opportunity to field drug information inquiries at the NMPDIC while strengthening literature evaluation skills.
This 3-credit course is required for second-year pharmacy students. This course examines the structure of biomedical literature and research. The course is designed to emphasize, recognize, evaluate, and apply different study types and the data they produce.
